A heartfelt hello! I am Kelsey Potts, the owner & founder of Social Shop. Born and raised in Kansas City, I found my passion for parties and the love of connecting people right here in my hometown. As a wife and mama to two kids + a very fluffy dog, I only know how to stay busy while valuing the importance of filling my own cup.

I am a true lover of: entertaining, gathering around a table, breaking bread with the people I love most and making micro moments memorable. I believe the art of entertaining can and should be effortless. I find power in patterns, elevating experiences and fueling friendships with memories & not more things. I love helping people find their confidence in color, putting their heart into hosting at home, mixing styles and bringing that sprinkle of southern charm missing from the midwest.

Social Shop’s story is simply that, we help ease entertaining so you can focus your attention while we take care of the perfection.

We specialize in offering colorful and playful tabletop rentals for intimate seated events for ~30 guests or less. For larger events, such as weddings or cocktail parties, our linen collection is available in counts of 6-8 in both round and rectangles giving the flexibility to mix, match and mingle!

How it works…

  • Step 1: Get The Party Started

    - Submit a rental inquiry form or set up a showroom session.

    - Pick your pretties and review proposal

    - A 50% deposit is due a time of booking to reserve inventory, we recommend reserving the max amount. Changes are accepted up until one week prior to event date

    - Final balance is due on event date

  • Step 2: Pack, Polish & Press

    - Once your project is booked, you will be on our calendar and we will get to work!

    - All linens will be sent to the dry cleaner to be professional pressed and ready to lay.

    - All tabletop comes polished, packed and prepped in crates for easy set up and/or pick up.

    - Any edits to your final counts are due one week prior to event date

  • Step 3: Enjoy Hosting!

    When renting for us, you have three options:

    - Pick up and return (from Prairie Village) a day or two before your event date. No additional charge

    - Direct Delivery a day before your event date and pick up a day or two after (does not include set up). Pricing varies per project load.

    - Full Event Set Up - includes day of delivery of all rentals, full set up of all rentals and pick up following day. Pricing varies per project load.

    - All rental prices include cleaning! That means, you simply put items back into provided crates or dirty linen bag.
